Basseterre, St. Kitts – July 10, 2025: The St. Kitts Credit Union (SKCU) is proud to announce the successful completion of a financial literacy session tailored for teenage mothers participating in the Department of Gender Affairs’ Project Viola Programme. The engaging workshop, held on July 8, 2025, aimed to equip these young women with essential financial knowledge and skills to foster greater economic independence.
The comprehensive session covered a range of crucial topics, including financial literacy fundamentals, practical budgeting strategies, the importance of saving, understanding good versus bad debt, and how to increase income by monetizing hobbies into business opportunities. The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from the young mothers highlighted the impact and value of the initiative.
